The witcher ending, because the empress ending made my cry like a little bitch. Besides, after everything that happened at castle Stygga, every Ciri interaction with Geralt in this game and all the dialogue between her, the witcher ending made the most sense to me, at least I was a bit at peace. Ciri becomes Empress only if Geralt brings her to Emyr. At the end of the game she faces the choice of becoming Empress or run into the wilds, and she chooses to pick up the responsibility to govern a large empire. She is not presented that choice in case of the "witcher Ciri" ending.

That's not accurate; for the Empress ending you have to go visit the Emperor AND Nilfgaard has to win the war. Out of the endings for Ciri, I believe this quest line only impacts the empress ending. For her to become empress Nilfgaard has to win. If memory serves Radovid wins the war if you do not remove him from the equation. Likewise, Djikstra wins, which means Nilfgaard loses, if you let him kill Roche and Ves.
Ciri becomes a witcher because she has no choice. She's forced into a life basically still in hiding from who she is, she also doesn't have the choice to become empress to get that ending. And as she says in the other ending she doesn't believe being a witcher can actually accomplish much.
